Quattro decadi di moda raccontate con il tratto inconfondibile di uno dei pi\u00f9\u2000noti illustratori contemporanei, in una mostra antologica che raccoglie pi\u00f9 di cento opere, dai primi anni Ottanta fino al 2022. Berthoud racconta storie e sceneggiature senza parole, e certi suoi ritratti possiedono un\u2019intensit\u00e0 che balza fuori dalla pagina, come animati da una propria volont\u00e0. \u201cCon la sperimentazione fisica e il ready-made estetico alla base del suo lavoro grafico, Berthoud porta la moda ai suoi estremi artistici e culturali\u201d, scrive Chris Dercon, Direttore del Grand Palais di Parigi, nel suo saggio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right translation-block\"><em>Leggi anche <a href=\"https:\/\/xtramagazine.it\/it\/aurel-draga\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"1900\" target=\"_self\">Draga &amp; Aurel: per Speculum in Aenigmate<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Silhouettes famose<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Formato in Svizzera alla scuola d\u2019arte di La Chaux-de-Fonds, e in seguito alla scuola grafica di Losanna, Fran\u00e7ois Berthoud ha iniziato a lavorare giovanissimo nel fumetto con racconti ironici e fantasie esotiche. Ha lavorato con un piccolo gruppo di illustratori italiani vicini all\u2019avanguardia delle arti visive, come Lorenzo Mattotti, Tanino Liberatori, Igort, Stefano Tamburini, che ruotavano intorno a riviste di culto come Linus, Alter Alter e Frigidaire. Influenzato dalla xilografia giapponese, Berthoud utilizza spesso la linoleografia, il \u201clinocut\u201d, dove con lastre di linoleum pu\u00f2\u2000 ottenere stampe quasi a rilievo, come nelle finissime incisioni dalle tavole di ciliegio. Con inchiostri tipografici a base oleosa molto densa, ottiene quel tratto \u201cbold\u201d, che definisce molte delle sue celebri silhouettes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Moda, musica e arte<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Lavorando per The New Yorker, The New York Times, Visionnaire, Interview, Num\u00e9ro, Vogue, Berthoud si confronta presto con l\u2019illustrazione di moda d\u2019autore rappresentata da Mats Gustafson, Gladys Perint Palmer e Ruben Toledo. Da allora, saranno molte le campagne grafiche disegnate per i grandi della moda come Jean-Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent, Viktor &amp; Rolf, Chanel, Givenchy, Armani, Martin Margiela, Dolce &amp; Gabbana, Herm\u00e9s, Prada e Capucci. Ma anche la musica e l\u2019opera appartengono all\u2019immaginario di Berthoud, che dal 2012 cura i manifesti delle dodici produzioni annuali dell\u2019Opernhaus di Zurigo. Realizzata in collaborazione con Bulgari, la mostra \u201cHyperillustrations\u201d si inserisce nel percorso artistico e culturale che Bulgari dedica alla citt\u00e0 di Milano, con una selezione di circa venti opere di Fran\u00e7ois Berthoud, tra cui la recente \u201cStoria del Serpente\u201d, appositamente creata per lo spazio Bulgari. <a href=\"http:\/\/fondazionesozzani.org\"
