A dialogue between designers and artisans
At Milan Design Week 2022, Doppia Firma (Double Signature), a project of the Michelangelo Foundation and Fondazione Cologni, is back. Double Signature: A Dialogue between Contemporary Design and Artisanal Excellence is a project of the Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship that enhances the union between design innovation and the tradition of the great European art crafts. In fact, Doppia Firma refers to the exchange between artisan and designer, who collaborate together to create original works or small collections of objects.

Ferruccio Laviani, a well-known designer and art director, was asked by Doppia Firma (Double Signature) to design a unique site-specific piece made specifically for the exhibition at Palazzo Litta. Laviani’s work is produced in collaboration with Villari, a company of excellence in producing art porcelain.
