Palazzo Paradis in Pietrasanta

A Palazzo in the Garden of Eden

In the center of Pietrasanta (Lu), overlooking Piazza Crispi, Paradis Hotel was opened in July last year, to create a pleasant and friendly environment of genuine hospitality. The Paradis Pietrasanta palace embodies the Tuscany architectural tradition: high ceilings, exposed brick walls, fine Carrara marble adorning the interior, as does the palace’s exterior. Original sketches and Renaissance busts adorn the corridors and rooms of the Paradis and complement more contemporary ones created by Pietrasanta sculptor Igor Mittoraj, whose dedicated museum, currently under construction, comes to life close to the palace. In addition to the palace, Paradis is surrounded by an impressive garden full of colors, scents, plants, and flowers, reminiscent of the atmosphere of the mythical Garden of Eden, designed by French architect Jean Mus. The garden also houses a prestigious marble fountain, “the Fountain of Artists,” and the unique work by sculptor Bernard Bezzina (HAND “Divition III” 2016).

The Paradis kitchen

Pietrasanta Paradis is a luxury agritourism project by Parisian chef Alain Cirelli; he wanted to breathe new life into the historic building in which this Franco-Italian boutique hotel now stands. Franco-Italian is also the cuisine at Paradis, resulting from a collaboration between Cirelli and chef Jonni Bertolaccini, who heads the hotel’s restaurant. The cuisine uses mainly local and seasonal ingredients, most of which come from the Paradis Agricole eco-farm. In addition to the restaurant, Paradis also offers the Ariodante lounge bar, which directly overlooks Crispi Square. Paradispietrasanta.com
