This is the most mysterious time of the year: autumn is the moment when the atmosphere becomes noir. And for us, what is enigmatic is fascinating, curious, attractive. This is why we have entered the rooms of a house with a dual personality: intriguing and welcoming. How could Minskbased Logovo practice combine these features? A world shaped by imagination and creativity, swearing loyalty to the essential, timeless and elegant black, is that of Moncler Noir. The brand enchants us with the project by Kei Ninomiya that materializes, dematerializes and re-materializes the garments focusing on the worn geometry. It is certainly exciting to go through one of the richest textile archives in the world, that of the Mantero company, once a manufacturer of silk and then of luxury fabrics, hosting more than 10,000 volumes, 60,000 scarves of the most prestigious fashion houses, thousands of hand-made designs, prints on fabrics and jacquards. The atmosphere of the Orient Express has always been very evocative, and we illustrate it in the following pages on the occasion of the exclusive restyling of three Grande Suites inspired by the cities they represent: Paris, Venice and Istanbul. A hermetic-looking theater rises up in Shanghai: new shapes, lighting and circulation conditions were designed by MDO, which followed up the project, and invite spectators to become actors. In this issue we could not fail to review artist Marina Abramović, who captures us with her communicative style that tests her body and its limits, on show in Florence until next January: a collection of old and new projects, strong, violent, scandalous actions, exchanges of energy and intense encounters with the public. No, we do not have to be afraid, but certainly to reflect on the important issues of our society and the urgencies of our lives.
