Finding one’s dimension is an inescapable journey. It can be explored passing through various dimensions, escaping from one or wallowing in another. You can be able to deal with the one you are in, or not. You may find the one that gives you peace, then you lose it and may find it again, or not. All this is part of the quest and the ability to achieve the goal: happiness. Danilo Eccher, with the exhibition “Dream, l’arte incontra i sogni”, through intimate and visionary works, illustrates the desires, expectations, fantasies and fears of the most secret part of the human soul. A path focused on the dream as a bridge to connect to our true self. For Nashira Arno, who works in New York, her dimension is faraway, being her home in the Dominican Republic. However, she finds comfort in the possibility of somehow wearing the sun of her island and absorbing its energy thanks to Sol, the collection of jewels inspired by planetary alignments and designed by her. You can reach the remotest room in your heart thanks to a fragrance, and Bulgari explains how in the volume “The perfume of gems”, or thanks to the taste of a dish that can move you, at Antica Corte Pallavicina, run by Massimo and Luciano Spigaroli. The menus designed by the two brothers are the result of long afternoons spent in the kitchen with their mother and their aunt, a past dimension that they rediscovered after a twenty-year renovation of a building that people used to see as an irreparable ruin and that currently hosts their restaurant. We have to follow the compass of our real self because, if the journey is individual, the extraordinary aspect – and we all know it – is to share it.
