Designed by Elisa Ossino and made with high-quality sustainable materials, the Ciclopi collection embodies a new way of experiencing carpets, no longer exclusively as furnishing objects, but as elements that make it possible to imagine a refined and comfortable island at home, to be used with the utmost freedom and imagination. Inspired by the myth of the archipelago near Aci Trezza and Polyphemus, it is composed of larger rugs (with an irregular shape) and smaller elements with a circular shape that, superimposed on the former, suggest the formal reference to the eye of the Cyclops. By introducing organic wool, produced with well-defined standards and certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Amini wants to ensure animal welfare and careful use of natural resources. The colors of organic wool have been defined especially for this project using natural ingredients such as pomegranate peel (from which yellow and brown originate), stems and roots of Indian madder, lac sludge (a waste product from the processing of the Kerria lac bug), and organic Indigo leaves for natural indigo. amini.it
