British Style in Rome
The interiors of the Maalot hotel, designed by the Roman studio RPM Project, are in a “British” inspired style. The atmosphere of an English residence is apparent in the choice of covering the walls with fine fabrics, the floors with carpeting, and in the selection of colors for the thirty rooms, each one different from the next. The leitmotiv of the hotel is comfort. The softness of fabrics and upholstery, rich and restful colors, luxurious Calacatta marble for the bathrooms; everything you would expect from a 5-star hotel in the heart of Rome. All rooms, superior and suites, have a walk-in closet in walnut wood; the bathrooms feature separate areas for extra comfort for two guests. But that’s not all: the room paintings are inspired by the concept “Wherever I lay my hat, that’s my home.” Therefore, the hat is the main character in the room artwork, creating a complete narrative in the restaurant.
Perfect sleep in perfect silence
Despite Maalot Hotel’s location in the heart of Rome, the rooms are quiet, allowing for a good night’s sleep. On top of fabric and carpet coverings that help muffle the noise, walls and ceilings have been sealed with special panels to reduce noise to a minimum. The hotel also houses the Don Pasquale restaurant, with about sixty seats, a secret garden among the narrow streets in the center of Rome. Lush plants descend from a skylight, filling the atmosphere with a worn oak parquet floor in a warm honey color.
