XTRA 004

The show, in every form, is magic. Whether it’s art, design, fashion, but also a journey or the ingredient of a dish: if it captures your attention and leaves you with a unique experience – it’s a show. Giuliano de’ Medici, represented in a sculpture by Michelangelo and, in the cover, photographed by Aurelio Amendola, has the expression of one who is attracted to something and someone. He observes, scrutinizes, asks questions, gives answers. It is not by chance that this sculpture is the protagonist of the grave of the duke himself. His position was read by experts as a reference to the active life of the neo-platonic doctrine, according to which each human being is the master of his-her own destiny. At his feet are portrayed the Day and the Night, symbols of passing of time on man. In short, it is the most beautiful show: life. And life is made of moments. How many times, in fact, we use the term ‘show’ even just driving our car, listening to our favorite background music, observing the beautiful view that accompanies the journey and, why not, chatting in good company. You taste it during the journey, imagine what song is coming, what awaits you on the horizon, how will the conversation go on with the good company sitting next to you. Here is the magic, which tickles the imagination.
And all this is XTRA-ordinary.
