The Cactus in limited edition
In 2022, it will be the 50th anniversary of the birth of the Cactus, the made in Italy design icon. Designed by Guido Rocco and Fabio Mello in 1972, the Cactus by Gufram is one of the most representative examples of Radical Design, the non-conformist design that marked the Sixties and Seventies.

Gufram reissues this timeless icon in a limited series of pieces, in Andy’s Blue Cactus, Andy’s Pink Cactus, and Andy’s Yellow Cactus. The three colors, reminiscent of famous screenprints, come from a collaboration between The Andy Warhol Foundation of Visual Arts and Gufram; each color is available in a limited edition of 99 pieces. Like the other Cactus editions, the Andy Warhol x Gufram limited editions are made from the original 1972 mold. Each piece is hand-finished by skilled artisans, a process that makes each piece unique. The approximately 2,165 polyethylene ashlars throughout the surface are painted in Guflac, a special finish patented by Gufram, which maintains the flexibility and softness of the finished product.
