Contemporary craftsmanship in Venice
Until May 1, 2022, in Venice, is coming back Homo Faber Event, the exhibition dedicated to the excellent craftsmanship. Organized by Michelangelo Foundation for Creativity and Craftsmanship, Homo Faber Event hosts 15 exhibition spaces dedicated to the different arts and crafts. The 15 thematic exhibitions, curated by international architects, designers, and curators, welcome the works of over 400 artisans and designers from over 40 countries; the 850 or so objects represent 110 different crafts. A vast panorama of savoir-faire from all over the world, with a special focus on Japan.

Alongside the 15 exhibitions at the Giorgio Cini Foundation, the Homo Faber Event involves 100 craft workshops, companies and museums in Venice, which will open their doors as part of Homo Faber in the City. Thanks to a dedicated app, visitors can create tailor-made tours through the artisans of Venice. It will be possible to witness the ancient process of beating gold leaf, or visit the last furnace working with fire in Venice, just to name a few activities. ALMA, the Italian School of Culinary Arts, also invites visitors to the ALMA Circle – Experience the taste of art, a gastronomic experience linked to art, culture, and the outstanding craftsmanship of Italian taste. Realized in collaboration with San Giorgio Cafè, this journey through flavors will offer the chance to taste fine dining in the enchanting setting of the Compagnia della Vela. Homofaber.com
