Joseph Beuys. Fine-Limbed

an exhibition in Venice

The Palazzo Cini Gallery, the house-museum of patron Vittorio Cini, reopens to the public with the exhibition ‘Joseph Beuys. Fine-Limbed’, dedicated to one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
Curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, in collaboration with Thaddaeus Ropac Gallery, the exhibition is open to the public until October 2, 2022. A selection of about 40 works by the multifaceted artist, who considered art a positive force, capable of activating social change and improvement in human life, can thus be admired in the rooms of the Palazzo Cini Gallery.

From the exhibition’s name, in fact, we can guess what his relationship with art was. ‘Fine-limbed’, in fact, comes from the title of the principal work on display, ‘Backrest for a fine-limbed person (hare-type) of the 20th century AD’. And his works are like that, watercolors so expressive they look three-dimensional.
The exhibition remains open until October 2, 2022; the Palazzo Cini Gallery, however, until November 21. (Assia Karaguiozova) Cini.it
