with a new plaid by Paola Navone – Otto Studio
A new limited edition plaid, designed by designer Paola Navone, for the launch of the first mono-brand store of Lanerossi, the Italian brand that has always been synonymous with quality blankets. Founded in 1817 in the Veneto region of Italy, Lanerossi was the very essence of blankets in Italy from the early 1900s to the economic boom; with its participation in the Milan Triennale in 1933 and 1936, it also occupied a prominent role in the development of design, the flagship of Made in Italy. Famous were the advertising campaigns of the 1960s, signed by Paganino, Armando Testa and Pino Tovaglia.

Today, as the brand is being relaunched, Lanerossi launched a mono-brand store in Milan, and for the occasion edited new blankets, with new techniques and new, contemporary, designs, expressing Lanerossi’s new philosophy. Lucky You is the new plaid in 100 percent Woolmark-certified virgin wool, designed by Paola Navone – OTTO Studio. The digitally printed design includes several symbols of luck and a big-eyed cat; a horse-stitch stitch in orange hems all edges. On the other hand, R-Geometrics and College are the two new plaids designed by Lanerossi in collaboration with textile designer Matteo Menotto. The ‘Memory is my home’ collection, which includes reissues of the designs for the Milan Triennale, is enriched with two new patterns, R-Geometrics and College, both by Matteo Menotto. R-Geometrics is inspired by an advertisement from the late 1940s, dedicated to the promotion of thermal fabrics, which reworked the iconic ‘R’, Lanerossi’s logo designed by Enrico Ciuti, with flamed graphics. On the other hand, College was born from the graphic elaboration of Lanerossi product labels from the last century. The design combines several graphics arranged in horizontal rows and visually animated by strong color combinations. College is in wool blend, while R-Geometrics is in wool blend with viscose back.
