Carole A. Feuerman, My Stories

The Hyperrealism in Venice

American artist and author, Carole A. Feuerman is one of the three most prominent artists of Hyperrealism, founded in the late 1970s. On the occasion of the 59th Art Biennale, Carole A. Feuerman is back to exhibit in Venice, in different situations. Some of her works are on display at the Giardini della Biennale (Biennale Gardens); she was also present at the Venice Boat Show, with three monumental works. The leading exhibition of her sculptures is being held at the Chiesa della Pietà (known as ‘Vivaldi’s Church), in Riva degli Schiavoni, until November 27, 2022. The solo exhibition, titled ‘My Stories,’ organized by Bel-Air Fine Art, in collaboration with PDG Arte Communications, is curated by Paolo De Grandis and Carlotta Scarpa.

Her creations include autobiographical traits, often marked by the author’s encounters with some of her characters. The faces of her models often express optimism, strength, integrity, and perseverance. Her iconic works depict mostly female swimmers and dancers, and feature the particularity that they can also be placed in outdoor spaces. The public works of Carole A. Feuerman are placed all over the world in different, significant locations. Among the many sites, we can mention Central Park and SoHo in New York, Avenue George V in Paris, Harbour City in Hong Kong, Giardino della Marinaressa in Venice, Canary Wharf in London, Knokke-Heist in Belgium; or, National Portrait Gallery – Smithsonian Institution, Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Rome, Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, and Palazzo Reale in Milan.
