The exhibition presents 150 works from the late nineteenth to mid-twentieth century, that can be considered artworks in their own right. The advertising posters testify to the parallel paths of fashion and advertising, a contextual and parallel, mutually supportive development. The graphics, images, slogans and logos tell the story of Italy’s progressively evolving style, culture and economy. Competition and customer loyalty are among the main targets of the communication, through images of savoir-faire and rising department stores. The communication of Magazzini Mele in Naples is one of the most outstanding examples of promotional activity. (Assia Karaguiozova) Magnanirocca.it
