“Life in the woods” is the title of the FW 2021/22 collection inspired by opere di Thoreau e di Mauri. È la natura, Thoreau’s and Mauri’s evocative works. Nature, with everything that is part of it, is the source of inspiration for Lardini’s collections for the next fall-winter 2021-22. Among the warm colors and enveloping lines of a reassuring style and elegance, one discovers an emotional drive to a pristine environment, a refuge from metropolitan chaos, from the modern jungle created by man, which has ruined him. The creative impulse at the origin of Lardini style office’s creations for the next season has its literary and artistic cultural roots in “Walden, or Life in the Woods” by Henry David Thoreau and in the fascinating works by Giuliano Mauri. Lardini’s collection relies on this common thread, and its dominant colors are those of autumn, of vegetation taking on new shades, those of wood, leaves, spices such as cardamom, or pumpkin, while the fabrics are natural, ecological wool and cotton, accompanying nylon, used for technical garments. Outerwear is widely represented by coats, trench coats and field jackets, even reversible ones such as the double- breasted coat in untreated wool, where the exterior micro-check pattern blends in shades of beige with “burnt” tones, while the interior has a more uniform dove gray mélange. The exclusive Harris Tweed coat is characterized by jersey manufacturing, a double-breasted coat with spear point and natural hues.
