It faces the group of the Odles, ready for a virtual climb to be accomplished every morning from the rooms, all south-facing and with a view of the peaks – the new Hotel Forestis Dolomites, above Bressanone, at 1,800 meters of height. The original facility was a sanatorium built a hundred years ago and left abandoned for a long time. An enviable location in a context subject to environmental and landscape limitations. A challenge taken up by the architects Armin Sader and Gian Marco Giovanoli from the Bressanone-based Asaggio firm, appointed by the Hinteregger family, owner of the hotel.

Restoration and expansion allowed free expression of nature. A connecting path respectfully joins the historical body to the spa and three thin wooden towers, where the new suites are arranged. The interiors are also finished in wood, while in the bathrooms they used Dolomites stone; the stone is also mixed with resin and wax, soft to the touch.
In the hotel, there are four different kinds of wood, symbolizing the four seasons: larch (summer), pine (autumn), mountain pine (winter) and spruce (spring). The fifth element is the pure and light water of the Plose, and from its woods and meadows come the treasures that the executive chef Roland Lamprecht uses in his “wild” cuisine. Roland mixes them with typical ingredients of South Tyrolean cuisine, softened by his culinary art, for dishes to be enjoyed in the amazing restaurant, arranged like a theater auditorium.
