Lasvit has created a special gold version of its signature Herbarium chandelier, for the exhibition Crafted Wonder held at the London-based restaurant Sketch (in The Glade room), on the occasion of the London Design Festival, last September. The Herbarium lighting installation is made of glass elements, each of which has been handmade using a unique processing technique. The liquid glass is poured over dried flowers, herbs or small tree branches, an harmonious mix of nature and crafts. In this special edition, every natural element has a special golden finish. “Our glassworks are surrounded by wild nature. What we wanted to do in Herbarium was to capture a piece of the Bohemian meadow, and take it into Sketch. The Glade, with its otherworldly atmosphere, surrounded by flowers and plants, is the perfect location, “explains says Mária Čulenová, chief designer who led the creative team behind Herbarium. lasvit.com
