A new way of conceiving a more innovative future in the wine industry comes from South Tyrol. With the launch of the new website (stmichael.it), Cantina San Michele Appiano, in the province of Bolzano, offers wine lovers a new interactive experience allowing them to see in real time the various production processes, from the vineyard to the storage of barrels in the cellar. The website hosts a virtual tour that makes it possible to visit the winery comfortably sitting at one’s home or from the wineshop, facilitating, through specific apps, the relations between the operators in the sector and the winery, and offering information about the vineyards in a simple way. The website is designed in a simple and intuitive way that allows you to visit the places and environments dedicated to the production of local wines autonomously. The project, carried out in collaboration with visim.eu, has allowed the agronomist to check, thanks to the support of an application, the conditions of the 380 hectares of vineyard owned by the 330 members of the winery simply and quickly, making it possible to inform winemakers about the quality of the grapes in a short time. With the introduction of this project, other technological innovations will be implemented in the future to improve the great tradition of South Tyrolean wines. www.stmichael.it
