Dolce Vita in Rome
From the very moment you cross the glorious wooden door of the Umiltà 36 hotel in Rome, you understand how nothing inside this 5-star luxury hotel is accidental, every style choice, interior and furnishings is designed to create a unique facility, suitable for an international and cosmopolitan customers. Umiltà 36, part of the SHEDIR Collection chain, is a few steps from the Trevi Fountain and the Quirinale. The client chose the interior contractor from Valtellina, based in Postalesio Concreta, to carry out the furnishing of the 47 units distributed over four floors of rooms and suites and two floors of flats with large, all different sizes. CaberlonCaroppi designed the project characterized for the sophisticated atmosphere rich in history. The major structural intervention also gave great prominence to the lobby and restored importance to the majestic marble staircase leading to the floors of the rooms and flats.
The hotel’s 29 rooms are distributed on the building’s noble, first and second floors, while the remaining two levels house 18 flats consisting of a living room with kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. All equipped with every comfort, they have bathrooms lined with precious marble and large walk-in wardrobes, parquet or carpeted floors and ceilings emphasised by the skilful use of wood panelling. To relax, the Dandy Cafè – The Unexpected Place in Rome is a welcoming space, under two large skylights so that it can be used in every season. Part of the ground floor houses the Argentine-inspired El Porteño Gourmet Restaurant and managed by the creators of the El Porteño in Milan. On the top floor, the panoramic Flores Terrace, overlooking the Quirinale and the Vittoriano, is designed to host the outdoor restaurant, in a lounge and cocktail bar version, and in Summer to allow guests to enjoy the view of Rome.
