The exhibition Grandi Legni and Etchings displays unique pieces designed by Andrea Branzi and co-produced by Nilufar and Design Gallery Milano. For Andrea Branzi, one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Italian design, a leading exponent of Radical architecture, and founder of the Archizoom studio, this year will be a very busy one. In fact, Branzi will participate in the XXIII Triennale and publish a monograph on his work. Galleria Nilufar, therefore, is hosting an exhibition dedicated to his work in this important year. The show includes five Grandi Legni (“Big Woods”), nine artists’ proofs, and a panel from the Architettura Povera series. The Etchings and artist’s proofs featured in the exhibition include works from the Branzi Architettura Povera series, which depicts fences and other simple, yet enigmatic environments, marked by a distinctive aura and “secular sacredness.” There will also be a panel from the Assolo di Croci series depicting the symbol of the Cross, conceived as an environmental sign, which can define the meaning of any place.
